Eizabeth's miniature floral teapot

I am slightly obsessed with all things miniature and just a little
shabby. I wanted to create a bright bunch of flowers to fill a shabby
teapot that I'd made a couple of weeks ago.

I started by tracking down some brightly coloured sheets of origami
paper on Amazon UK.

Then using the Ruffle Petal Die I cut out a selection, these papers are
perfect as they have a mixture of colours in each sheet.

Next using a ball tool and a foam mat I shaped all of the petals to
create curves.

I used green paper coated wire for the stems. I like to trim these down
to roughly 4cms. I add a blob of glue to the end and dip it into bright
green flocking powder to create the centres of the flowers.

I cut out Calyx and Rose Leaves from a bright green card stock that
complimented the pinks and peaches of the flower petals.

Once the flower centres were dry I added a mixture of petals to create
the flower head, carefully adding a Calyx to each and glueing it into place.

I added a couple of leaves to the stems of the flowers, and as they were
drying gave them a little squeeze to shape them around the wire stems.

It doesn't take long to build up a little collection and you can trim
the stems with wire cutters to suit.

And there you have a wonderful little teapot full of beautiful summer
flowers.

Now to choose a different colour.........................

The floral dies are the purrfect way to create seasonal flowers for your
miniature projects and they are great fun to create. Now is it too early
to start with the Christmas arrangements..........
